HEADLINE: Chris Shea was honored by the Department of Defense for Patriotic Support

LEAD: Chris Shea of Trademark Electric, Inc. was presented with a Patriot Award on August 14, 2019 by Tim Lambert, Department of Defense-Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Area Chair, in recognition of his extraordinary support of his employee, U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Lance Corporal Chandler Duncan.
· “The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered the Nation’s call to serve,” said Tim Lambert. Chris Shea was nominated for being highly supportive of Lance Corporal Duncan. Supportive managers are absolutely critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of Guard and Reserve units.”
· Lance Corporal Duncan said “Chris Shea has been very supportive of me fulfilling my military duties as a Reservist in the Marine Corps. After my last deployment a year ago, Chris hired me without my having any electrical experience and sent me to training to become a Generac Technician. He paved the way for me to become successful in a skilled trade. Chris is a believer and supporter of America’s military. Even though we’re a small company, Chris has fully supported me when I’ve had to leave work for days and sometimes weeks at a time because of my military duty. He has even allowed me to drive my Company vehicle over one hundred miles one way to my duty station for weekend drills. Chris is truly deserving of the Department of Defense Patriot Award.”
